TRAVEL PLANNING FAQs
-
All international travellers must carry acceptable identification when entering Canada. A passport is the only reliable and universally accepted travel and identification document when abroad.
Before making travel plans, learn about entry requirements by country.
What you need will depend on:
where you are from
how you are travelling
what documents you are travelling with
In addition to your passport, you may need a travel authorization such as a visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada.
Consult Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s website to learn which authorization you need:
Be prepared: Apply for an eTA before you book your flight to Canada. Most applicants get approved within minutes. However, some applications can take several days to process so don’t wait until the last minute.

The easiest and most cost-effective way to get to downtown Hamilton is on the GO Transit Bus, Route #40 Hamilton-Richmond Hill-Pearson Express.
You can buy GO bus tickets online or at the vending machine in Terminal 1 on the Ground Level.
You will catch the GO Transit bus from Terminal 1, Ground Level – between Column Q2 and Column Q4.
Visit the GO Transit website to view the bus schedule and purchase your ticket.
The #40 Hamilton-Richmond Hill-Pearson Express GO Bus runs from the airport to the Hamilton GO Centre (Downtown Hamilton) for 22 hours a day, from 4:33 AM to 2:33 AM the following day.
The bus leaves from the airport:
- Every 25 - 30 minutes, from 4:33 AM - 7:35 PM
- Every hour, from 7:35 PM - 12:33 AM
- There is a 2-hour gap between the 12:33 AM bus and the 2:33 AM bus and a 2-hour gap between the 2:33 AM bus and the 4:33 AM bus.
If needed, you can contact event organizers, and we will do our best to arrange airport pick-ups. -
Although it doesn’t have a subway, streetcar or light rail system, Hamilton’s City Buses still make for a relatively robust public transit system.
We would suggest carpooling with other event attendees and taking taxis, Uber Ride or Lyft to and from the venue in the morning. The venue is a Film and Television production studio on the “Hamilton Mountain.” It is not the most central location, but that being said, most hotels and Airbnbs in Hamilton will be within a 5 - 12 minute drive to the venue. -
We suggest arriving on Thursday, March 27th (or earlier) and settling into your AirBnb or your hotel. This way you’ve got your travel out of the way prior to the event launch at 9:00 AM on Friday, March 28th.
If you’re a suspension practitioner who is planning to bring equipment please contact Event Organizers either through the contact form on the website, by email at ontario.suspensions@gmail.com or by reaching out to us on Instagram or Facebook.
We are asking folks who are coming with suspension gear and who are planning to set up a rig point at the venue to arrive and participate in the event Load-In from 2:30 PM onward on Thursday, March 27th.
If you aren’t setting up a rig point but you are bringing rig plates or other suspension equipment you do not need to participate in the Load-In on March 27th. -
We’ve created a private Facebook Group for event attendees to communicate with one another and share the most up-to-date information.
If you’ve registered for the Ontario Suscon, you should have received a link to join the Facebook Group. If you haven’t received this link, please don’t hesitate to reach out, and we’ll get you connected.
